Enter Blackwater

Born from our commitment to raising the bar, Blackwater Coffee Roasters launched in East Downtown with a simple goal: roast exceptional coffee, and serve it with purpose.

We source in-season, single-origin beans from producers we know and trust — roasting them in-house to strict specialty standards. By keeping our supply chain tight and our cafés self-supplied, we protect quality and stay nimble, even in volatile markets. The result? A coffee experience that’s bold, consistent, and completely ours.

Our team of baristas and roasters continually level up through certified training, hands-on cuppings, and a shared obsession with the craft.

What’s Brewing in 2025

We’re expanding the guest experience by inviting the public behind the scenes:

  • Roastery viewing window – Watch the magic happen, from green bean to first crack.
  • Public cupping classes – Explore your palate and discover what “notes of stone fruit” actually taste like.
  • Barista competitions – Cheer on the pros (and maybe join in yourself).
